Manager Finance and Accounts

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide insightful information and expectations to senior management to aid in long-term and short-term decision making
  • Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, management, and clients in formal meetings
  • Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company
  • Contract outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
  • Develop and maintain methods for minimising financial risk to the company
  • Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
  • Oversee the operations of the treasury department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives
  • Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Supervising, controlling and monitoring all finance and accounts activities.
  • Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs, and available funds for investment
  • Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
  • Maintain banking relationships
  • Assist in determining the company's proper capital structure
  • Arrange for equity and debt financing
  • Manage the preparation of the company's budget
  • Assist management in the formulation of its overall strategic direction
  • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses in all areas of the company
  • Review performance of the department and report on key issues to management
  • Manage the capital budgeting process, based on constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis
  • Provide analysis and reports as requested by management
  • Any other responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.
  • Qualification & Experience:

    The incumbent must be:

  • CA Qualified with minimum 10 years post articles relevant experience
  • CPA, CFA, ACMA, ICAEW with minimum10 years post articles experience
  • M.COM/MBA Finance/ACCA with minimum 12 years experience
  • Desirable Skills:

  • Proven leadership skills with ability to independently supervise a team
  • Exceptional negotiation skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Must be self driven and result oriented
